Melissa Colabella considers herself to be a “knowledge broker”. She has amassed 1,000+ followers on her Instagram profile, @DestinationWestchester where she educates followers about the Westchester Lifestyle. She enjoys providing insight to families who want help navigating the diverse personalities of our Westchester suburbs. She understands that it’s not just about the house, it’s about helping clients achieve their lifestyle goals.

Melissa offers robust customer service, responsiveness, attention to detail, professionalism, strong communication and negotiating skills, to help benefit each of her clients through the many complexities and nuances that go along with home buying and selling. Melissa strives to make each client feel like they are her only client.

Melissa is a multi-million dollar producing agent covering various markets in Westchester County and CT. In 2017 she joined the Sotheby’s International Realty Producers Club representing the top 5% of all producers industry wide in Westchester and has remained in this league through 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021. She has been featured in Westchester Magazine, 914 Inc., Westchester Home, Realtor.com, Apartment Therapy, Serendipity Magazine and more. In 2019, Melissa won the Five Star Professional Rising Star Award, awarded to less than 1% of agents county wide.

Melissa has extensive project management experience. One of her first jobs required her to manage a call center and write script correspondence for one of the largest bond funds in the world. There, she also organized the creation of new funds and monitored market timing activity. Over the years, her career transitioned as she sought out more artistic pursuits and Melissa eventually received her MA in Fine Arts at the The New York School of Interior Design in NYC where she studied Interior Design, Decorative Arts and Architecture. She worked on residential and commercial interior design projects until finding her niche in staging residential homes for sale which is how she met her manager at Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty. She received her undergraduate degree at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business with a major in Marketing. While a trained Marketer and Interior Designer, she credits negotiating as her best skill.

Melissa obtained her GREEN designation to help clients retrofit their homes with more sustainable features. She currently lives in the culturally rich historic village of Pleasantville with her husband and children in a solarized Victorian home and their very own organic garden. Closing gifts are often the season’s harvest!
