Vintage Eclectic - A geometric Memphis Style desk clad with triangular pigmented leather is softened by natural elements such as wicker art, and plant life. A color scheme of purple, pink orange, pink and green create color harmony. The traditional desk chair and mantle contrast against the geometry in the desk and art creating visual interest. I brought in more contemporary pieces to freshen up the decor to appeal to a broader range of buyers. This room was dark before I brightened it up with a neutral color palette. Their existing sofas were refreshed with colorful pillows that connected to colors in the accessories. I covered the tile flooring with over sized woven rugs to add texture and brought in two contemporary coffee tables that fit more proportionately than one. The artwork is an original of mine. Purchase - NY The homeowner wanted to update her living space without buying new furniture. I suggested removing outdated fussy jabot window treatments to bring in natural light, repainting the two tones of a warm grey, adding chair railing for dimension and removing the wall to wall carpeting and installing hardwood flooring with border details. Modern art juxtaposes an overly formal chair. Click for more. The homeowner wanted to update her living space without buying new furniture.
